5. Click and drag the images you want to burn from the "Explorer" window to the lower "Data CD Layout" window. Either individually select images one at a time or choose "Select All" (Ctrl +A) from the "Edit" menu and drag the entire selection to the lower window.

6. In the bottom left side of the "Data CD Layout" window click once inside the CD text box until it is highlighted. Once highlighted, click again and rename the CD to your choosing.

7. Click on the Create CD button in the toolbar (the red button at the top).

8. The "Smart and Friendly" CD-R gives you three options for recording speed. You need to use the best speed setting for your blank CD-R. Write speed capabilities are often based on the brand and quality of the blank CD-R media. Start your test at 4X600 KB. Make adjustments later as necessary.

Under "Options," choose, "Test and create CD." Click "OK."

9. The "Smart and Friendly" CD-R will now test the CD-R media. A test will generally fail if the write speed is too fast. If you have a test failure at 4X 600 kb, then switch the write speed to 2X 300 kb.
If the media successfully passes the test, the writing process will begin. This will take several minutes. Once complete, the "Smart and Friendly" will eject the completed CD.

Warning:
While the "Smart and Friendly" CD-writer is testing and writing, do not touch or move the computer cart.
